Abstract
Pharmacogenomics (PGx) mainly concerns the use of genomic data for drug administraÆŸ on in paÆŸ ents. 97-98% of all people have at least one high risk funcÆŸ onal genomic variaÆŸ on in their pharmacogenes and drug target genes, which could be idenÆŸfi ed through comprehensive genotyping methods like Next GeneraÆŸ on Sequencing (NGS) before prescripÆŸ on of medicines. Presymptomic profi ling of any genomic alteraÆŸ ons in all drug related genes through uÆŸ lizaÆŸ on of whole genome sequencing in individual works as a prognosÆŸ c screening approach for drug safety and efficacy and opens the true personalized drug therapy gates for future paÆŸ ents. Such pracÆŸ ces remove the ÆŸ me for laboratories in preparing the results during the paÆŸ ents visit by clinicians and treatment procedures. The real ÆŸ me personalized drug therapy will be implemented very fast in a close future via already prepared pharmacogenomics data in the local genomic databases, containing genomic variant informaÆŸ on for each separate paÆŸ ents in ethnic groups in a categorized and registered format.
